1 BN Pleco/6 gl cats/ 6 cardinal tetras/1 pearl gourami?

So I recently added 6 gl catfish, and 6 cardinal tetras to my 36 gallon tank which already had a BN Pleco, Im thinking of adding 1 pearl gourami, but it will be much bigger than the others, will it be peaceful, will it let the other smaller fish eat? I was also thinking of maybe adding a betta, and a dwarf gourami, instead of a pearl gourami. But my concerns are the same for both of the possible combos.
