Are there alligators in lake allatoona & Lanier in GA?

Are these good ponds for swimming/jet skii's ? I don't wanna be going in any water where gators are around in GA....and people say oohhh well gators are only in southern GA....but I'm sure there are some towards the middle northern part as well lol
