Need help with a science lab?

So the lab was about Darwin's finches and their diff beaks. We experimented with diff "beaks" (bobby pins, tweezers, etc.) and I need to know how you could use the materials provided in the science lab ("beaks" and seeds) to test my explanation that an island could support large populations of large and small ground finches.
